Further Applications of the Fmac

چکیده
The Modal Assurance Criterion (MAC) has been used as a measure of correlation between measured and predicted mode shapes for many years. However, since the MAC only considers the mode shape correlation, both an auto-MAC plot (to assess the degree of spatial aliasing) and a natural frequency comparison plot are usually required in order to determine the overall correlation/correspondence of the modes. A modified MAC plot with frequency scales—the FMAC—was introduced at IMAC 2000 offering a means of displaying simultaneously the mode shape correlation, the degree of spatial aliasing and the frequency comparison all in a single plot. Since the initial presentation, further applications of, and enhancements to, the FMAC have been developed. This paper presents the new FMAC developments, illustrated with case studies of real structures.

Filtrate of fermented mycelia from Antrodia camphorata reduces liver fibrosis induced by carbon tetrachloride in rats.
AIM To investigate the effects of filtrate of fermented mycelia from Antrodia camphorata (FMAC) on liver fibrosis induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl(4)) in rats. METHODS Forty Wistar rats were divided randomly into control group and model group. All model rats were given 200 mL/L CCl(4) (2 mL/Kg, po) twice a week for 8 wk. Four weeks after CCl(4) treatment, thirty model rats were further di...
متن کاملFMAC for Coexisting Ad Hoc Cognitive Radio Networks
Media access control plays a critical role in cognitive radio networks (CRNs). In our previous work, we have proposed a fairnessoriented media access control (FMAC) protocol to achieve fair and efficient coexistence of infrastructure-based CRNs. In this paper, we enhance FMAC to be used for coexisting ad hoc CRNs, where no centralized base stations exist, and secondary users (SUs) access channe...
متن کاملA Tweak for a PRF Mode of a Compression Function and Its Applications
We discuss a tweak for the domain extension called Merkle-Damg̊ard with Permutation (MDP), which was presented at ASIACRYPT 2007. We first show that MDP may produce multiple independent pseudorandom functions (PRFs) using a single secret key and multiple permutations if the underlying compression function is a PRF against related-key attacks with respect to the permutations. Using this result, w...
متن کاملFMAC/CSR: a Fair MAC Protocol for Wireless Ad-hoc Networks
Recently, the issue of achieving MAC layer fairness in wireless ad-hoc networks has been extensively addressed. Most of the published schemes are sender-based, meaning that a sender (of a flow) contends for the shared medium based on its own understanding of the contention on the medium. However, as clearly shown in this paper, in a wireless ad-hoc network, a sender may not have precise informa...
متن کاملFuzzy controlled multi-hop adaptive clustering (FMAC) for mobile ad hoc networks
To mimic the operations in fixed infrastructures and to solve the routing scalability problem in large ‘mobile ad hoc networks’, forming clusters of nodes has been proven to be a promising approach. However, when existing weighted clustering algorithms calculate each node’s weight, they either consider only one metric or rely on some metrics collected from extra devices. This often leads to a h...
